It all started with summer job in 2021. Bea Kallio, our Marketing & Communications Coordinator, got her first summer job at Stalatube in sales, and so began her journey with our company. After the summer, Bea headed to Tallinn to study business, but didn’t leave Stalatube behind. She had the opportunity to continue working from Tallinn, and so she combined her studies and work in a flexible way.
I worked two days a week, and it was the perfect deal for me as a student, says Kallio.
During the summers, she was a full-time employee and during school she worked part time again. Stalatube has been flexible with working hours and location, so she has been able to focus on her studies while developing her career with the company.
Stalatube has given me more flexibility than I could have ever imagined, Kallio enthuses.
In autumn 2024, Bea went on an exchange to Italy, but she didn’t leave her job at Stalatube then either.
I worked 2-3 days a week from the exchange, and it allowed me to do a lot, says Kallio.
So, she was able to enjoy her exchange year while developing her skills at Stalatube.
Now, at the beginning of 2025, Bea is a full-time member of the Marketing & Communications team. At the same time, she is working on her degree and writing her Master’s thesis with the aim of graduating in 2025.
At Stalatube we are proud to be able to offer flexible working opportunities for students, says Mira Polvinen, our HR Manager.
We always encourage our employees to develop their skills. With us, it’s easy to combine work and studies. Flexible working opportunities, whether remote-work, part-time work, or working abroad, give students valuable work experience and the chance to grow in their careers.
Bea is an excellent example of how Stalatube supports its employees’ personal ambitions and offers flexible solutions to combine work and studies. With us, employees can grow and develop, whatever their life situation is!
