A couple of weeks ago, we launched a thrilling trailer, and now the moment has finally arrived! We’re excited to announce the release of the first episode of the Season 2 of Stalatube X Pekka feat. Jamie Hyneman.
Our engineer Pekka and the legendary Jamie Hyneman are on a mission to test steel like never before. In this episode, The Bending Test, Pekka welcomes Mr. Hyneman back to Finland for another round of intense testing. The first challenge is to test the load-bearing capacity and bending strength of hollow sections and structures. They start with bending tests at the LUT University lab, comparing carbon steel with STALA Duplex and STALA Opti-reinforced Duplex. Which will come out on top?
After the lab tests, they move to a middle-of-nowhere location in Finland to perform real-life bending tests on two different bridge structures. Using a 6,700 kg Finnish military truck, they drive over bridges made of carbon steel and Duplex to see if they can hold the weight. Will both bridges pass the test?
