In the thrilling finale of Season 2, Pekka and Jamie Hyneman take their testing to new heights. In this epic finale, they return to LUT University to conduct drop tower tests. They will drop a 45 kg weight onto tubes at room temperature and then after freezing them to -196°C. They will compare carbon steel with austenitic stainless steel and STALA800. What will be the outcome?
Finally, they’ll perform a breathtaking drop tower test, dropping a massive 600 kg roadblock from 6 meters onto steel arch structures. One structure is made of carbon steel, the other of STALA800. Which will survive the impact? Get ready for a heart-pounding showdown as these materials face the ultimate drop!
