Stalatube 50 years: From kitchen sinks to the leading global provider of stainless steel hollow sections

“Company wanted – one million Finnish marks”

This short ad placed in the local newspaper started the Stala-story in 1972. The new entrepreneur Reino Rajamäki bought Upo’s kitchen sink business and became the founder of Stala. 
 
In 1974 Stala started producing structural hollow sections when steel sinks for industrial kitchens required a strong stainless steel frame. 
 
Today, 50 years later, Stalatube’s structural hollow sections are known worldwide.
